Shattered Souls (Imprinted Souls Series, #5)

by Daniele Lanzarotta

It has been thirty years since Lexi made her choice.  With time, many things have changed, but others… never will.
As her past comes back to haunt her, one vampire is destroyed, and Lexi is the one blamed for his true death.  She is now being hunted by her own kind, and as much as Nicholas tries to protect her on his own, that is not enough.  He needs help, and he values her far too much to ask for help from just anyone.
They encounter ghosts of their pasts, face their worst fears, and above all, heartbreaks strong enough to shatter souls beyond repair

But when the demons killed Frannie’s best friend and destroyed her brother, they raised the stakes. If Frannie wants to keep her family and friends safe, she knows she has no choice but to go on the run.

Their best defense is the power Frannie has been struggling to master, but her attempts to hone her skill go horribly awry. If Frannie doesn’t learn fast, the consequences could be devastating–even apocalyptic.

Top Ten Books To Read In A Day

The books in the list are in no particular order, all information can be found on Goodreads/Amazon

  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen : I am a huge fan of the classics and in fact this is one of the very few books i read back then at the age of 15. Every 2-3 years or so i always re read it in one day and no matter what Mr. Darcy is always in my first top male characters. I always wished he was real
  • Lover Revealed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #4) by J.R. Ward : I know we suppose to add the first books from each series but i couldn’t hold my self  not to add this. Butch is one of my favourite male characters ever and It takes me one day to finish the book. The moment i pick up i just couldn’t stop
  • Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1)  by Chloe Neill : I believe i read this book in one day and it truly deserve to be in the list.It was my very first intoduction to Chloe Neill writing and to Meri’t adventures.
  • Embrace (The Violet Eden Chapters, #1) by Jessica Shirvington : Another book that i actually finished it in one day. I have to admit that i am a sucker consider the Young Adult genre and this one was really  good to fall into!
  • Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare : Another classic and another book you literally read in one day. Romeo and Juliet tragic history always drags me to read no matter i knew how it ends.
  • Angel (Angel, #1) by L.A. Weatherly : Okay i have to admit that i had always a ”thing” with Angels story and the specific one didn’t disappointed me at all. The storyline the characters,Alex and Willow, sucked me into a wonderful trip and .. I felt disappointed back then for finishing it in one day because i had to wait for the second one
  • Personal Demons (Personal Demons #1) by Lisa Desrochers : And beside Angels i also created a love crush with Demons. I believe the main male protagonists Luc is the one who made me finish the book in one day..
  • The Vampire Stalker by Allison VanDiepen : hilarious That is all i have to say about this book which actually took me exactly 2 hours to finish it.. I always wonder what would happen if any of our favourites characters from any book jump in into this real word and this book described exactly what would happen
  • The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks: Another book i finish it in one day.Not sure if it was the movie who was responsible for it but i loved this one a lot (and yes it really made me cry several times)
  •  The Regulators by Stephen King (Richard Bachman) : I know this is not the greatest novel ever by Stephen King but the reason i finished reading it in one day (and in one night) it was … The book was scary no matter what time of the day and night i was reading..I just had to finish it!

So what are books you read in one day? What do you think about mine?Leave a comment with your TTT and i will check out!

In My Mailbox #2

… Today in my mailbox we have

These two books are by Lisa Desrochers  which in my opinion you should definitely check them. I was always a huge fan of Angels and Demons and when i first saw them from Goodreads I thought why not to read them. The books became my favourites and i liked them so much so i went at once to order the real copies.

Here is some information for those 2 books. The last one in the trilogy will called Last Rite Expected publication: May 8th 2012 by Tor Teen.

Personal Demons (Personal Demons #1)

Frannie Cavanaugh is a good Catholic girl with a bit of a wicked streak. She has spent years keeping everyone at a distance—even her closest friends—and it seems as if her senior year is going to be more of the same . . . until Luc Cain enrolls in her class. No one knows where he came from, but Frannie can’t seem to stay away from him.

What she doesn’t know is that Luc is on a mission. He’s been sent from Hell itself to claim Frannie’s soul. It should be easy—all he has to do is get her to sin, and Luc is as tempting as they come. Frannie doesn’t stand a chance. But he has to work fast, because if the infernals are after her, the celestials can’t be far behind. And sure enough, it’s not long before the angel Gabriel shows up, willing to do anything to keep Luc from getting what he came for. It isn’t long before they find themselves fighting for more than just Frannie’s soul.

But if Luc fails, there will be Hell to pay . . . for all of them.

Paperback, 365 pages
Published September 14th 2010 by Tor Teen
Luc Cain was born and raised in Hell, but he isn’t feeling as demonic as usual lately—thanks to Frannie Cavanaugh and the unique power she never realized she had. But you can’t desert Hell without consequences, and suddenly Frannie and Luc find themselves targeted by the same demons who used to be Luc’s allies.

Left with few options, Frannie and Luc accept the protection of Heaven and one of its most powerful angels, Gabe. Unfortunately, Luc isn’t the only one affected by Frannie, and it isn’t long before Gabe realizes that being around her is too…tempting. Rather than risk losing his wings, he leaves Frannie and Luc under the protection of her recently-acquired guardian angel.

Which would be fine, but Gabe is barely out the door before an assortment of demons appears—and they’re not leaving without dragging Luc back to Hell with them. Hell won’t give up and Heaven won’t give in. Frannie’s guardian exercises all the power he has to keep them away, but the demons are willing to hurt anyone close to Frannie in order to get what they want. It will take everything she has and then some to stay out of Hell’s grasp.

And not everyone will get out of it alive.
